GB Surfing works closely with the Home Nation Surfing Federations to identify and develop talented young surfers with Olympic potential. While the overall pathway is supported by GB Surfing, it is delivered by each Home Nation federation, which is responsible for providing training programmes and development opportunities for promising surfers within its region.
 

For young surfers seeking additional coaching, training opportunities, and exposure to the elite performance pathway, their Home Nation federation is the first point of contact.

BRITISH TEAMS

GB Surfing is responsible for selecting and managing British surfing teams competing in international events where nations are represented by their respective National Olympic Committees. This includes the ISA World Surf Games and EuroSurf when it serves as an Olympic qualifying event.

Surfers do not need to be part of a GB Surfing training programme to be eligible for selection to a British team. For more information about British team selection, please see our Policies section.
