GB Surfing has provided Progression Squad surfers with their own quiver of surfboards from one of the world’s best shapers, JS Industries.
Each athlete received seven boards during the recent training camp in Coolangatta, giving them the opportunity to choose a different model dependent on the different conditions and the different types of waves they will face this year. The boards range from very small to big wave designs, including Xero Gravity’s, Monster 10’s, Forget Me Nots and a few extras.
For GB Surfing to compete at an international level, it is important that the right environment is created to give surfers the best possible opportunity to maximise their potential. A big part of this is equipment and in particular surfboards. JS was therefore selected due to its incredibly strong history with a wide variety of models which have been tried and tested by some of the World’s best surfers as well as its impressive current roster of high-performing athletes.
Talking about her JS Industries boards, Alys Barton said; “I am so glad that I have been given the opportunity to experience world class boards in an amazing environment out in Australia.
“I feel that it’s so important to discover the latest technologies all over the world and be on the same equipment as world class surfers. I am so grateful for this amazing path and can’t wait to keep pushing my surfing.”
