GB Surfing Announces Men’s and Women’s Open Teams for the 2025 ISA World Surfing Games

GB Surfing has confirmed the athletes who will represent Great Britain at the 2025 ISA World Surfing Games (WSG), taking place in Surf City, El Salvador from 5–14 September.

From 2025, new ISA regulations mean that only Member Federations representing recognised National Olympic Committees (NOCs) are eligible to compete at the WSG. This shift aligns the event more closely with Olympic qualification pathways, as performances at the 2025 Games will influence team seedings and directly impact the 2026 WSG, expected to serve as a qualifier for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.

As the recognised NOC, GB Surfing is now responsible for selecting and managing British teams competing in ISA World Surfing Games Open events.

The Great Britain teams for 2025 are:

Men’s Open Team

  • Patrick Langdon-Dark
  • Logan Nicol
  • Arran Strong

Women’s Open Team

  • Alys Barton
  • Charlotte Mulley
  • Imari Hearn

The squad will be led by Head Coach Luke Dillon, with Gwen Spurlock as Team Manager.
